Every chance I get:

My In-law’s family wanted to go to eastern part of Korea for family outing for a few days. This was my first outing with them since I got married, and I decided to pick a good spot for a day picnic. On the day that we were supposed to do picnic, I volunteered to look for spot and I went out near creek at early in the morning. I only had one hour to fly fishing, but it was luckily enough to see my favorite cherry trout and lenok.

  1. sneaking in fishing time during the family outing is always exciting. Stink eyes from your wife, fake smiley approval from your in-laws, nascar like driving to the fishing hole and back...

But at the end of the day, we are simply doing what we love and our loved one will eventually forgive us. Hopefully...

  2. Yeah, it is like committing a little crime. I come back and meet the family to talk about the picnic spot search and for some reason I have a big smile in my face. They may know too, but no one talk about if I catch any fish.

Charles, your cherry trout is waiting for you in the creek. Make some time again sometime soon to see them.

  3. I love sneaking in a little fishing when you don’t have a lot of time. I find myself more focused and getting right down to the point in times like that. No time to try out experimental flies, just sticking to the proven formulas. Love it.
